Co-ed Rec Tournament 08.15 - Summer II 2026

Bumpy Pickle is hosting a Co-Ed Recreational 4s tournament on Saturday, August 15th

 This is for the weekend warriors that want to come out and play against other fun teams that don't take the game too serious. It should be a good time for everyone. The tournament will start out in pool play with all teams making the playoffs! The number of teams that sign up determines the number of games played and the point totals of each game. We always try to schedule as many games as time allows.

This is meant to be a laid back tournament where the standard rules of beach volleyball are loosely enforced. However, these four rules will be strictly called during play: 1) Any touching of the net. 2) You can not attack or block a serve. 3) If you hand set a ball over the net, your shoulders should be square to the direction of the ball. 4) No open hand redirects over the net. 

Like the REC leagues, there can be 1 ADVANCED PLAYER allowed per team in this tournament, either male or female. Please remember that the ultimate goal of this tournament is for everyone to relax and have a great time so ADV players will be restricted. *See ADV Players Rules & Regs under the "Downloads" tab.

Sunday : ADV 4s - Summer II 2026

SUNDAY's  ADVANCED  Co-ed 4 vs 4

This league is catered to the more experienced and competitive teams. All teams of this league will be able to pass, set, and spike on a consistent basis. All beach volleyball rules will be strictly enforced (including NO OPEN HAND RECEIVES ON SERVES, SHOULDERS MUST BE SQUARE WHEN HAND SETTING OVER THE NET, NO FINGER TIP REDIRECTS, NO CARRIES, and NO LIFTS). The hand sets in this division will be called tighter than in any other league at Bumpy Pickle Beach. Doubles and/or held balls while setting will result in a point for the other team. The overall attitude in this division is to have some fun, but these teams are here to win! If you aren't sure, or haven't played w/ us before please email us prior to registration.

Each team will get at least 2 double headers this session.

TENTATIVE START DATE:  Sunday (8/23/26) 

*1st game MUST be underway by 6:10 or it will be forfeited to the ready team. Limit breaks to 2 mins. max.

The league will be 6 weeks of pool play, and the final week(s) will be playoffs.
Time slots for these games are 6:00, 7:00, 8:00, (9:00* if & as needed)
Every team will play at least one time slot per week.
Each match will last 60 minutes.
All matches consist of 3 games, rally scoring (21,21,15)*cap at 23,23,17
Teams must have at least one female on the court at all times.
All games will be self-refereed and scored.

Playing in ADV league means you're counted as ADV for remainder of season.

No one is allowed to touch the net during play.
Subs are allowed during the regular season. Teams in need of sub during playoffs may use a previous sub from their regular season, or players from ELIMINATED teams. Do not use a player from a team who is available due to a BYE. NO new substitutes during playoffs.

The cost is $280 per team.

Friday Night Premier League : INT+ - Fall 2026

START DATE:  Friday (09/04/26) *See invitation emails for more information*

All the rules you already know about INT leagues. (1) ADV male, (1) ADV female MAX *if you're unsure, please ask before registration*

Qualifying teams must have a winning percentage above .500 at the WEEK-3 mark in the regular weekly REC or INT leagues.

Teams can have NO rule violations in the qualifying league. The Captain who registered the team gets the option to join or decline.

Premier League team must consist of a min. of (2) players from qualifying team.

Games will be at 7, 8 9 & 10 each Friday weather allows, w/ a few exceptions.

Holidays and Friday games prior to big, all-day Saturday tournaments might be be scheduled BYES.

An "All-Star" break or optional game night is scheduled at the week three mid-point in the schedule.

Teams at the bottom of the standings may either have a play-in game, or not make Playoff Brackets, depending on total # of teams in the league.

Teams must follow the INT building rules and be up to date with current registration fees, but game play in this league IS NOT RESTRICTED. ADV players or 1B restricted players have NO LIMITATIONS on their performance. Think of it as INT+

The cost is $280 per team and must have a qualifying invitation. *Orders w/o these will be canceled (minus card processing fees)

This is a private event in cooperation w/ the Baylor Beach Volleyball Club of Waco, TX. 

Check in is 10:00am w/ first games starting appx. 10:30am

SAME GENDER Twos teams. Men will play on men's height nets, women at women's height nets.

Pool play then single elimination bracket

Tournament duration ~6 to 7 hours with an hour +/- lunch break prior to bracket play.
