'25 Junior's Tournament No.1 - Summer I 2025

JUNIORS' TOURNAMENT NO.1

This is a 2 vs. 2 format, open to Bumpy Pickle junior's and any peer they'd like to team-up with.

This registration is for the TEAM of two. *Only one player needs to register for their team.

Play will be by beach volleyball rules. Teams will be broken into as even numbered pools as possible, and each team will play within their pool fighting for the most wins. All teams will be ranked by their pool play wins and/or scoring differential, and then begin single elimination bracket play.

Check-in at T.B.D, will be based on total number of teams.

This tournament is included as part of your summer program, and is optional. If you are not a member of our BPB '25 Summer Training Program your registration will be declined or waitlisted until any available spots open.

SUNDAY : ADVANCED *evenings - Spring II 2025

SUNDAY *evenings* ADVANCED  Co-ed 4 vs 4

This league is catered to the more experienced and competitive teams. All teams of this league will be able to pass, set, and spike on a consistent basis. All beach volleyball rules will be strictly enforced (including NO OPEN HAND RECEIVES ON SERVES, SHOULDERS MUST BE SQUARE WHEN HAND SETTING OVER THE NET, NO FINGER TIP REDIRECTS, NO CARRIES, and NO LIFTS). The hand sets in this division will be called tighter than in any other league at Bumpy Pickle Beach. Doubles and carries while setting will result in a point for the other team. The overall attitude in this division is to have some fun, but these teams are here to win! If you aren't sure, or haven't played w/ us before please email us prior to registration.

Each team will get at least 2 double headers this session.

TENTATIVE START DATE:  Sunday (6/22/25) 

*1st game MUST be underway by 6:10 or it will be forfeited to the ready team. Limit breaks between sets to 2 mins. max.

The league will be 6 weeks of pool play, and the final week(s) will be playoffs.
Time slots for these games are 6:00, 7:00, 8:00, (9:00* if & as needed)
Every team will play at least one time slot per week.
Each match will last 60 minutes.
All matches consist of 3 games, rally scoring (21,21,15)*cap at 23,23,17
Teams must have at least one female on the court at all times.
All games will be self-refereed and scored.

Playing in ADV league means you're counted as ADV for remainder of season.

No one is allowed to touch the net during play.
Subs are allowed during the regular season. Teams in need of sub during playoffs may use a previous sub from their regular season, or players from ELIMINATED teams. Do not use a player from a team who is available due to a BYE. NO new substitutes during playoffs.

The cost is $280 per team.

THURS : DEV - Summer I 2025

THURSDAY NIGHT DEVELOPMENT *formerly REC  Co-ed 4 vs 4

This league is for those looking forward to some fun & don't take beach volleyball too seriously. Teams are here trying to improve their game. Most in this league will not have great success at passing or setting the ball, which means there will be a lot of one overs and very few spikes. You don't have to worry about big hitters in this league! Rules in this division will be politely enforced. Obvious throws & lifts should be called as well as ANY CONTACT of the NET. This is so people can play and not worry about nit-picky calls that are intended for a higher level of play. (1) ADV player per team maximum. ADV players are restricted. No spikes, jump serves, or blocking etc. Ages 55 & up are unrestricted.

Each team will get at least 2 double headers this session.

The cost is $280 per team.

SUNDAY MORNING : REC/DEV - Summer I 2025

SUNDAY MORNING RECREATIONAL Co-ed 4 vs 4

Looking for more fun on your weekend and maybe a little sunshine too? This league is for those looking to get outside, have some fun & try to improve their beach game. Most in this league will not have great success at passing or setting the ball, which means there will be a lot of one overs and very few spikes. You don't have to worry about big hitters in this league! Rules in this division will be politely enforced. Extra obvious throws & lifts should be called as well as ANY CONTACT of the NET. This is so people can play and not worry about nit-picky calls that are intended for a higher level of play. (1) ADV player per team maximum. ADV Males are restricted, no spikes, jump serves, or blocking etc. while ADV females are unrestricted. Ages 55 & up are also unrestricted. The purpose here if for the ADV player to help develop their team members with in-game coaching and explanations -not to dominate other teams. Let's get ALL OUR TEAMS playing better at beach!

Time slots for these games are 9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am, (Noon* as needed)
Every team will play at least one time slot per week.
Each match will last 60 minutes.
All matches consist of 3 games, rally scoring (21,21,15)*cap at 23,23,17
Teams must have at least one female on the court at all times.
All games will be self-refereed and scored.

Bumpy's Summer 3-Way - Summer I 2025

Bumpy's 2nd Summer Three-Way !

Summer is officially here and we're ready to have a party! Let's kick it off with an all day 3-WAY. This will follow Pickle's INT. restrictions meaning a team is allowed up to two ADV players, 1 male and 1 female -but ADVs cannot swing/spike, jump serve or block. It's important to have ground rules when participating in a 3-way so that everyone knows their role. Ask for the ADV Rules & Regs sheet if you're unsure.

Teams will compete in 3 versions of volleyball. Grass court, water volleyball and of course Beach!

Each team will get 1 game on grass, 1 in the water and the rest will be in the sand.

We want to have a full day of fun and ridiculousness with everyone, so please come prepared. Sunscreen, towels, tail-gating sized coolers (no glass) & lunches. We have a small grill available to share too. Don't forget shoes for the grass court - this ain't Wimbledon. We will do our best to make it nice but expect roughness. No bad attitudes or fun-ruiners please. 

Teams will be randomly divided into 3 pools and games will be played on the 3 various court types throughout the day. The bottom 3 teams may be dropped from bracket play if we're at max capacity. The remaining teams will play through single elimination bracket on sand until we have our Champions!
